We did our Finch Hollow Pond Study today, and boy was it a perfect morning for it! Here is Braden making his way down to the pond with his net and milk carton!
His first swipe of the water caught nothing, but he soon was catching all types of neat creatures! He caught a tadpole, water strider, lots of baby dragonflies, some clams, a blood worm, some diving beetles, a baby crayfish and a HUGE crayfish! He was very good!

Cayman has fun inspecting all the bugs as Braden put them into our container! She was eager to get into the mud and try to catch some, just like her big brother. Maybe next year!!!
Everyone was good and dirty by the time we were done, but it was well worth it! We had a lot of fun!

Oh boy, what fun! I see Miss Cayman made her way into the mud somehow. What a perfect day you had to study the pond.
